The Council :)

Being in the council makes you learn a lot,
We are 13 of us and each fit for the slot,

We are one for all and all for one,
Working in a team is a lot of fun,

All this, my friend is just the good bit,
Coz when the work starts to pour,
U break into a crazy fit,

You have to be with one and be with all,
Coz if that’s not the scene you are sure to fall,

They say-
“Rules are meant to be broken”
We say-
“Those who do, give them a token”,

You have to listen to everyone,
Coz sometimes it’s no longer fun,

You can’t satisfy one and you can’t satisfy all,
There are times you have to take a call,

People will call you names and take your case too,
But in that too we take pride,
Coz they have elected me and you,

For our batch mates-
At times we are their sword and at times their shield,
Coz we represent them,
No matter what the battle field,

We are by them and for them,
They are the roots if we - the stem,

Be transparent – let them know what you do,
Coz issues will crop up if they have no clue,

Ensure your there when the batch needs you the most,
Coz they’ve trusted and that’s why you have the post,

Never let the posts get to your head,
Coz once that happens,
You’ll know – nothing more needs to be said...
